Jolly Enterprises

During the Summer of 2018, I worked as a Creative Intern for Jolly Enterprises, one of the largest plumbing and home recovery businesses in Greater Cincinnati. I worked directly with the CEO and Marketing Manager to put out fun and engaging content all summer, as well as help manage their SEO and redesign the company website. I was also put predominately in control of the Carpet Cleaning half of the company, which presented both a difficult challenge but also very worthwhile experience.

Website Redesign

Throughout the course of the summer, I assisted in helping to completely overhaul Jolly Plumbing's website to give it a more modern and accessible feel. I also helped to create more specific "City Pages" to target client rich areas around Northern Kentucky and within the 1-275 Loop that surrounds downtown Cincinnati. The main software that we used in these overhauls was Flywheel. Click the Logo to see the new and improved site! I also helped out redesigning the Carpet Cleaning website so if you wanna check that one out, click the green logo!

Facebook Ads

Another thing I was tasked with over the  summer was to come up with creative Facebook Ads that would air about every three days or so. At Jolly Plumbing, we know that carpet and toilets aren't the "sexiest" products, so the goal was to keep them funny, light and sometimes informative while maintaining the company's top value of good, honest, plumbing. Most of the videos we put out were created using Wibbitz software or iMovie and ads were created within Facebook's Business Manager feature. I would also create and run promotional offers through the Facebook Business Manager.

One of the videos I worked on this summer was a series called "Plumbers Read Poop Books", where some of our technicians read children's books about poop because who knows more about it than them?? These videos were super fun to film and are really successful (see 42k views and counting!) in my opinion because we understand that plumbing and your toilet isn't sexy, so we gotta make it fun!
